According to the American Cancer Society, two-thirds of all cancers can be prevented though lifestyle changes. So take control of your life today by taking these seven simple steps.
    1) Stop Using Tobacco
Smoking accounts for at least 30 percent of cancer deaths.
   2) Stay Thin
Being overweight or obese contributes to 14 to 20 percent of cancer deaths.
    3) Exercise Regularly
Shed those extra pounds by exercising 30 minutes a day at least five days a week.
    4) Eat Smart
Avoid eating too much red meat. Choose lean cuts and smaller portions. Try to eat five or more servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
    5) Stay Safe in the Sun
Unprotected exposure to the sun is by far the most common cause of skin cancer.
    6) Drink in Moderation
The use of alcohol has been linked to cancers of the mouth, pharynx, larynx,  esophagus, liver and breast.
    7) Get Screened
Talk to your doctor about scheduling regular cancer screening tests for colon, prostate, breast and cervical cancers.
