Senior Health Tips

Senior Health Tips Over 60? Here are four easy ways to be smart about your health.

Review Your Immunizations: Do you know the last time you had a tetanus shot? Talk to your physician to make sure your shots are up to date, including an annual flu shot in the fall.

Did You Know? A vaccine for shingles and pneumonia is recommended for all adults over 60.

2) Check Your Medications: Your doctor can also check to make sure you are taking the right medications in the right doses and identify any drugs you may no longer need.

3) Create or Update Your Living Will: Let your family know exactly what your wishes are if a serious accident or illness occurs.

4) Carry a Medical ID: This can be a lifesaver during a medical emergency, especially if you have a serious medical condition such as diabetes. A bracelet, medallion, or card in your wallet should list your medications, drug allergies, physicianʼs name and emergency contact.
